I Have No Clever Title
Dec. 24th, 2008 11:50 amIt's cold, it's wet, it's pouring, and I'm quite jolly because I get to watch it through a window rather than set foot outside.
The Joyful Tidings:
- Dad continues to be stronger and they got the last of the tubes and stuff out of him.
- "Naughty or Nice" just got recced on
calufrax as "absolutely adorable" and "cracktastically plausible" and I'm not sure which phrase has me more squeeful.
We are mixing things up a bit this year. I have been insisting on cooking the Christmas beast on Christmas Eve, so that the day isn't full of fussing over pots and pans. However, due to the weather, the minister and his wife couldn't make it out to see their daughter (my mother's adopted granddaughter, as neither actual child of hers has seen fit to marry and breed). So we're having presents tonight and the big meal tomorrow has been expanded to include them.
My mother has already started giving me lots of old family photos to get them "out of the house." Including my parents' wedding album. O.o
To those on the road, may you travel safely. To everyone celebrating, whatever you're celebrating, may you find peace and joy in your friends and beliefs.
