A Facebook Haggadah God send Pharaoh a plague: blood
Advisor: No big deal. Our magicians can do the same thing.
Pharaoh: OK. Whatever.
Student gets bad grade on paper. Student blames a society unfairly giving "credit to empirical, tangible and scientific evidence." (Pharyngula also had a post asking for suggestions for a new car. I noted with interest that even people who raved about Subaru Foresters admitted that they had problems with brakes, gaskets, and the timing chain - all expensive repairs I had to make. I feel vindicated in dumping that dog.)
Y'all have heard me talking about how I think Chase Bank is satan, I'm sure. Why do I say this? Well, for one thing, they're doubled the minimum payment AND added a fee that accrues its own interest. One of the reasons why I wanted to dump my old car before I paid it off was because I had the loan through Chase and wanted to stop dealing with them ASAP. I will never hold a card or loan through Chase again.
I continue to adore The New Adventures of Queen Victoria.
Have been succumbing to the urge to get more charms to make more stitch markers/row counters. Beaders, do you have any hints on how to lever open a split ring for adding a charm without sliding your thumbnail into it? I'm slowly lifting the thumbnail by doing this, and pulling fingernails was a torture for a reason.
The latest recipe came out tasting just like pot roast. Which would be fine, except that the next time, I might as well just make a frickin' pot roast. (Is anyone reading these recipes, or should I just copy the ones that work out really well?)
