Pre-Veteran's Day
Nov. 10th, 2009 06:43 pmIf I post at all about my activities tomorrow, it's going to be to talk fluff, because tomorrow is for running errands and cleaning up and cooking and freezing ahead for Christmas. Simple, normal, everyday, boring stuff.
But I get the day off to do it in in memory of those who have served in our armed forces, so before I go back to being busily self-centered, I want to thank those who've made it possible for me to be so.
To the veterans reading this, most especially my friends reading this.
To the man who leads the local clinic escorts.
To my father and grandfather and assorted male forbears back to the Revolution and probably before that.
It's a tough job and it takes tough people to do it.
Thank you.
