This is going to have to stand in as the (pre)Sunday 7 because I'm going to go straight from working on stuff to crashing and relaxing and I plan on being out of the house much of tomorrow.
It was a weird shift at the clinic, not so much due to number or vociferousness of protesters for 40 Days of Life, but because twice (Twice!) someone supporting the protesters parked in the clinic parking lot in order to give them something. Once it was coffee and danish, but the other time it was a Jehovah's Witness, apparently wanting them to hand out Watchtowers along with the IRMAs and CPC* flyers.
Have I mentioned that our protesters are overwhelmingly Catholic?
Other than that, I've spent much of the week setting up a fairly detailed set of forms that is going to allow me to track net worth from year to year. Now I'm doing laundry and am about to put in about 4 hours clearing out the library, after which I get to chill out and watch Netflix and knit.
And tomorrow it's off to
tchwrtr's for a personal breadmaking class!
In my spare time, I'm still pondering the idea of replacing the cookbook collection with an e-reader. I'm also pondering - and close to announcing - the concept of a regular auction on my LJ in support of Doctors Without Borders, on the basis that they always need money and they always respond to all of the terrible tragedies that are happening.
