Woke up because I was too hot; power out. A moment later, everything started flashing. Well done, Pepco!

Am OK. Whole town w/o power. Tree down over main rd. But house, cats, self, M, OK. Cont. to shelter in place.  

Power back!

Have lost everything perishable in fridge/freezer & found bad leak under sink (not storm related). Heard ceiling fan kick on about 1/2 hr ago; had to fiddle w/modem but back online now. Internet, I missed you!

Am about to cull fridge, then put on decent clothing and search for hot meal. Although next time power goes out, good to know lemon hummis, pita chips & Starbucks fruit & nut plate make excellent lunch and will keep in insulated bag.

Someday will post pic of tree over rd, but not daring to boot up desktop for a little while; ipad will survive if power suddenly cuts again.
