I'm rearranging books again. No matter how much book space there is in a house, there isn't enough, y'know? So in order to try to take some of the pressure off, I've started looking up some of my reference & nonfiction books in ibooks, downloading a sample chapter onto the ipad and planning to dump the hard copy. I figure that if I ever really, really want to read the book again, I'll find it on the ipad and download it.

Sardonically, even while I do it, I'm willing to bet that I will never, ever download a replacement.

Also, I'm whipping through the to be read shelves -- it's amazing how few I'm really in the mood to read when I feel drowning in books. One thing I really love about the rise of the ebook is that rather than paying to add to the shelves of to be read books, many of which I will change my mind about reading or give up on because they aren't as interesting as I hoped, I can download a sample chapter, not worry about storage, and only pay when I am in the mood to read a book through - if I ever am.
