It's been that kind of a year...

The clothes washer died yesterday. The good news, such as it is, is that I got a new one on sale by the skin of my teeth - the sale ended 10/31. I'm not even pretending that I didn't go cheap this time. It smells of hot rubber - I'm hoping that will burn off as it's used - and it makes the lights in the center hall flicker when it spins, but my clothes are getting clean.

Oh and the contract I'm on may not need my skills much longer. There's *work* - my company has assured me of that, which is why I love them - but wow, 2011 has been an... interesting... year.
