Things are looking more and more up for Little Free Library 2778! Despite a pounding all-night rain, the caulk job held. I found new places that need to be caulked, but there was very little moisture inside and no books were ruined.

Two books have now left *and* I have two notes from neighbors! Squee!

I've put in a couple more "guy" books - some hardback Grisham, a big book on the men who went to the Moon (hey, NASA's near here), and a history of Hoover's FBI. I've also put out a couple of cooking and quilting books. Hey, I'm still trying to get a feel for what's going to move; so far it's been a horror novel and a bestseller.

I've also registered a copy of His Majesty's Dragon with Bookcrossing, which puts LFL 2778 on their map as well. I think about every month or so I'll register a book at Bookcrossing and see if that helps things move.

Voter ID laws are changing in several states; others are clearing out registration rolls. The Election Assistance Commission webpage will let you know if you are listed as a registered voter in your state and if you need to show ID at the polls. Links are available for information on voter registration, voter ID, volunteering as a poll worker, and absentee ballots.

Better to check now, with two months to fix any issues, than to get a nasty surprise on Tuesday in November.
