The link I'm about to pass on from [livejournal.com profile] spiderine is a MASSIVE TRIGGER FOR DEPRESSION. But I'm passing it on because while I've never been suicidal, what the author describes in the first half of the cartoon I know too well, and she describes it perfectly. It's not "I'm sad" depression. It's "I no longer feel emotions" depression.

Like The Bloggess, this isn't a post about cures. It's a post about what it's like. And I'm passing it on for the same reason she wrote it - because it helps me and will hopefully help someone else to know that there's someone who understands exactly what it feels like.

In two shows now I've seen actors having iphone conversations not by holding the phone up to their cheek, but by holding it horizontally, speaking into the bottom end and then vaguely moving the bottom towards their ear to listen.

Are the actors doing this to keep their faces clear for the camera, or is this a thing? Do they work better that way/avoid the antenna problem?
