The thief took my grandmother's engagement ring. It was sweet and family and I will most likely never see it again.

For Christmas, my mother had her engagement diamond reset flanked by sapphires and gave the ring to me. It gets resized tomorrow.

I don't normally burst into tears over Christmas presents...
