If I see one more reiteration of the Kim Davis quote about how she just feels so superciliously and superiorily sad "that someone can be so unhappy with themselves as a person that they did not feel dignified as a human being until they got a piece of paper" I'm going to punch something. She apparently literally cannot grasp that they're not unhappy with THEMSELVES, they're unhappy that people like her can't be arsed to give them human dignity. Even after every court in the system has told her to do so.

And frankly, I hope her ass goes straight back to jail. She was told she was only being let out if she allowed marriage certificates to be given out, she promptly illegally created her own type of marriage certificate rather than give the state-approved ones out, she said from the beginning that she didn't think they were valid without her approval (and that pesky state approved wording), and now she and her lawyers are Shocked! SHOCKED, I SAY that handing out a homemade unapproved license she herself doesn't call valid somehow isn't being viewed as upholding the requirement that got her out of stir. Why, oh Lord, why can she not run her office like the theocratical fiefdom she thinks it is?

Apparently there's the option of sending her ass back to jail *and* putting the office under the leadership of someone who won't keep filing appeals like they're pulls on a slot machine, hoping that this next time she'll finally get lucky and get what she wants. I'm voting for that option.

And on an entirely different subject, remember when someone kept stripping my Little Free Library of all its books? Now I have the opposite problem. So many people are donating that every now and then I have to go out and clear out a few so there's room in there!

Luck for oh-so-many things: I got to have the thrilling excitement of driving a car with the "check engine" light on for 20 miles. Tomorrow I find out how bad expensive it is.

But what I really want luck for is my trip to England! For once I get to liveblog a trip, as there will be someone in the house. I've set up a trip to Gloucester cathedral, and what I'm hoping I'll be lucky enough to do is slip a tour guide 20 quid and say "I know you can't tell us anything about plot but... where did they set up the cameras when they filmed Sherlock?"
