A Brief Shriek of Aural Anguish

I thought the "American" accents in Land of the Dead were bad? They're nothing on the horror of the "Southern American" accents in Minuet in Hell!

something I check a lot more now that I've had to go under lockdown

I'm harmless, really. :>

Minuet in Hell was one of the wierder ones. (Although I've had to recalibrate my wierdometer after some of the SERIOUSLY strange ones, like Zagreus. Which I love, but is still full-body-contact bizarre.) I didn't overly hate it though (if I had, I wouldn't have bothered finishing it, a la Land of the Dead), but it's also coming off the iPod soon enough, and I'm likely to toss the disks into the eBay stack. It's certainly not up there in utter adoration like Shada, Zagreus, or Kingmaker.

the horrible demon who was trying so hard to be Skip from "Angel"

*snort* I hadn't thought of that!

Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart, the beloved Brigadier of the old series (only actor to get to work with all the original Doctors, IIRC) is a wonderful character and a wonderful actor. I really did have to listen all the way through just for him.

Well, even if you weren't harmless, your Buffy/Giles icon (which I've admired for a long time) would make it worth it. ;-)

And yes, Alastair (so THAT's how you spell it) was fabulous..when he was trying to log onto the website and kept getting the URL wrong and was moaning for the days of secret ink I actually laughed out loud. A very *Giles* moment.

I know there are good things coming with the audios, and I'm anal enough that I have to listen to them in order, so I'm biding my time. I keep hearing a about the arc o'fabulosity and can't wait to get there.

Isn't that the most wonderful of icons? Alas, I did not make it, I merely urged [livejournal.com profile] hildy to do so and then took it gleefully.

Now I'm thinking... t-shirts. Definately t-shirts.

I've been trying to listen to the audios more or less in order, but I don't have them all, and I was itching so much to hear Kingmaker and Zagreus that I couldn't wait. All I will say is... there's more Brigadier goodness to come. He was my favorite not-companion from the old days.
