Some people are still at Denial, and all this "I go when she goes" stuff is somewhere between Anger and Bargaining. They'll get to despair and then to acceptance soon enough
The really horrifying thing is that no, some of them will NEVER get to acceptance. There are still BatB fans who refuse to acknowledge the third season. STILL. And it's been sixteen years.
