Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle.
Say the following questions aloud, and press play.
Use the song titles that come up to answer each question.

This is going to be interesting, since I don't take the Dr. Who audio adventures out of the shuffle rotation.

How does the world see me?
Bat out of Hell. (?!!!)

Will I have a happy life?
Festival Fanfare (I guess I'll be happy if I'm near theater?)

What do people really think of me?
The Boatman, Pyrates Royale ("When shall I see thee, today, tomorrow? Oh, do not leave me in lonely sorrow.") Um.

Do people secretly lust after me?
Big Finish Audio Adventure Caerdroia, track 7. (Eight saying "There's a joy in discovering a new place!" Did my ipod just call me virginal?)

How can I make myself happy?
Far From the Home I Love - from Shuggoth on the Roof! (I'm going to say that travel makes me happy and try to ignore the Lovecraftian overtones here)

What should I do with my life?
Twiddles, the Minstrosity version. I should spend my life welcoming sailors from the sea?

Just to see .... trying again.
Dragons, by Lister. ("Don't talk to me of reality, don't talk to me of lies, if all you saw were clouds across the sky.") Oooookaaaayyyyyy....

Will I ever have children?
Mist-Covered Mountains, Crimson Pirates version. I think this comes under "answer unclear, ask again later." Except I've never been inclined.

What is some good advice for me?
"Does Your Mother Know (That You're Out)" by Abba. I suppose she would prefer hearing from me more often.

What do I think my current theme song is?
Well, what I've been repeating over and over are "Tell My Father," "I Want Candy," or the Rednex "Cotton Eye Joe," but Wurlitzer wants it to be Down at the Twist and Shout.

What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
Pretty Little Picture from Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Somehow, I doubt this strongly.

What song will play at my funeral?
Track 15 of The Last, a Big Finish audio adventure. Since it starts with the Dr. Who theme music, that might be vaguely appropriate if I snuff it soon. Scrolling to the first piece of music, I get "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" (Madonna version.) Oh peachy. First my ipod calls me a virgin, now it's suggesting I'm a slut.

What type of men/women do you like?
Captain Jack Harkness The Look by Roxette. ("Walking like a man, hitting like a hammer, she's a juvenile scam") According to Wurlizter, at least, I do like men *and* women.

What is my day going to be like?
Dress You in Mourning by John Barrowman. Just the title makes me want to go back to bed. "Day after day and night after night you work like a slave... you're fighting to keep the promise you gave." That would have worked for Shore Leave, I think, but not now.

Why am I here?
Time Works, track 43. The villain, saying "It is not easy to impose efficiency on beings that are by their nature weak." Moving on to music, I get "Sailor's Prayer" the Bounding Main version (there I go, back on the docks again!) "If this night be unblessed, I shall not take my rest until I reach the other shore."

What will people remember me for?
"We the People," Schooner Fare. Liberalism is not a bad way to be remembered. "It's time to feed the hungry, and it's time to heal the pain, and it's time to beat our weapons into plows!"

What song will I get stuck in my head tomorrow?
"Whatever we did" by Sally Fingerett Meh. Not sure why that's even on the ipod.

Are there people outside waiting to take me away?
One Voice, by Billy Gilman. Apparently the people waiting are religious...

What will this year be all about?
That's Rock 'n' Roll, Shaun Cassidy. (Okay, I need to have a teenaged moment. SHHHHHAAAAUUUUUNNN! *ahem* Okay, I'm back to being middle aged again.)

There'll be more meat next week; I was waiting for the Who fandom to settle down a tad from the outpouring after Doomsday to post reviews for Colditz, The One Doctor, Stone Rose, and possibly the Arkangel Shakespeare "Comedy of Errors" with David Tennant. Plus, I'm working on a fic, the kind I link under lock, if ya know what I mean...
