[livejournal.com profile] tikiera had a great idea in the thread of my last call for recipes - making a fruit and meat rollup with Pillsbury crescent rolls. I made one with cream cheese, ham, and a big chunk of apple in the middle and OMG! SO GOOD! (And points to Pillsbury, because there was a distinct lack of high fructose corn syrup or unpronounceable ingredients... although I'm trying not to think about the number of calories.)

Said rollups were fab straight out of the oven, reheated very nicely the next day, and were also good cold.

I'm totally doing this again. And with different ingredients too, as the result is so nicely bento-able.

Thing is - I can synthesize, I can analyze, I can build new airy beautiful things out of a few bits, bobs, and half-remembered things, but sadly to say, I don't actually have much in the way of imagination. I can think of four fillings:

1) Ham, apple, cheese (dang, that cream cheese was good!)
2) Turkey & cranberry (a dash of stuffing optional)
3) Cream cheese & asparagus
4) Something mimicking pizza

What would/do you put in?
