I'd credit these links, but I've whipped through the list so fast I didn't take notes where I found them. Do sing out in comments!

New Who companion picspam via [livejournal.com profile] lizbee. Quite nice, and I agreed with much of the commentary.

Book Lover's Staircase.

The more I think about Torchwood last night (Aside from the sheer WTFery of them leaving the zombie issue unresolved - now what's the point of a 3-story arc where the story stays UNRESOLVED I ask you? - I keep thinking this:

It's a misfit team in a basement office including a discontented, sardonic operative with a damaged, unhealing hand in a black leather glove (and a woman in hopeless love with him).

This isn't a remake of Angel anymore, it's a remake of Adderly!

On the home front, I'm already nostalgic for last year, what with trips to England/Wales, Canada, and Italy, not to mention four conventions. What with home renovations and the new company, that's not happening again for a while. However, it has occurred to me that because I live on the East Coast and right on the Mason-Dixon line, the opportunities for day trips are endless. I have to check a map and Amtrak schedules to know how far west I can get, but I can get as far north as NYC and as far south as Colonial Williamsburg for a day trips when I want to get about, and it's been ages since I've been to the Smithsonian. (And Bouchercon is right on my doorstep.... although it would be nice if they acknowledged my payment!)
