You don't have to yank any wires, or go inside the case at all, for probably the best ones anyway. Last November, I bought one for $50 at the local supermarket (the box said it could play all dvds--I forget the exact wording--and I figured I could gamble $50), then went online and found out which keys to press to get to the setup menu to change the region. I was all set in five minutes.
