"FFV?... Yep, he's pretty proud of that. He has a DAR certificate up on the wall too, just in case you need to know how far back him and his family goes."
This is the second time the character is described as male, FFV, and DAR.
For non-Americans:
FFV = First Families of Virginia. (Noted mostly in my life as a rhyme for Lee in 1776, an excellent film and surprisingly accurate minus the song and dance numbers.) Basically means you've been there since before it was a state.
DAR = Daughters of the American Revolution. Men cannot be members, no matter who they trace their lineage back to.
I find it amusing that while FFV has been defined a couple of times, DAR... hasn't.
