I saw this and immediately read the article for the part of the country because someone I've known well for several years has an uncle who runs a clinic in Kansas that is one of the few to offer late-term terminations.
I was about to call her when I checked her Facebook status and found this same link saying that, yes, it was her uncle, and in the photo I can see the resemblance to her mom and daughter.
I've had terminations and that, plus knowing someone related to this man who, while distant from his family, has helped in VERY important ways with care that they could not have gotten otherwise, makes it that much closer to home. I feel like folks are personally at war with me in a way that is even stronger than before.
