I'm not sure about the library stuff, but blasphemous libel (which did indeed only cover Christianity) was abolished in 2008, being replaced by provisions of the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006. The last time I can recall a challenge based on religious content which succeeded was 1977 to James Kirkup's poem in Gay Times and I definitely remember my sister commenting that our local library did have the challenged work availablem up and until judgement.
