I'm too much of an engineer's daughter to entirely approve of her making it on memory alone - get data, woman! Go see him! - but what I was most afraid of, that the men had assigned her a life, is not happening.
Poor Kiesl. Don's right, he'll be honorable to the end... but in this case, the only truly honorable course is to do exactly what he's doing. (Bit of a nice twist when he pulled the dog tags out of her purse.)
