Never give an obsessive a hobby, particularly when they're trying to avoid doing something else.

Must... clean... house... and... scan... Hiram's... diary... before... making... soap...

LOL!!

I could have written that myself, but substituted candles for soap. It's my crafty time of year... gawd help us all! At least the house will SMELL pretty, even if it is trashed...

Ah, candlemaking was an obsession a number of years back. Having lost interest in and use for pillar candles (none of my friends are big on the "treasure candle" concept), I have sublimated down to buying a tin 6-taper mold, which will be used to make a half dozen winterfest-style candles (white, orange, red) for Christmas. Which reminds me, I have to make sure I have the proper length of wicking and clean that mold come December...

PS - I go totally craft-oriented in December, which means that I really only have a month and a half to finish up my annual to-do list!

I can sooooooo relate! *whimper*

I think that's why I started "rennovating" the home office, to avoid the stories that have been making me crazy.

And the knitting to avoid the "rennovating".....

And the baseball playoffs to avoid the thinking....

Oh, how it snowballs...

I knew I was getting too carried away with ideas when I started thinking about getting a floor loom before I've cleared any kind of floor space to put it!

Heh. I can always tell when I'm REALLY procrastinating about doing something, because that's when I suddenly start wanting to do housework!

Procrastinating

Excellent! That means the scanner can come home by Christmas!

I've done a lot of dusting in the last few days. Cleaned out the closet for the Goodwill, piled books for the Orphan zine table at Econ, or the auction at E-con, and called for insurance for the new car.

And lots of dusting in between...

Right now it's looking like I'm going to sit down Halloween weekend and just scan Hiram madly. I actually want to reswap printers before Christmas so that I can take mine home and present it to my brother and say "you make 'em, you fix it."
