The Reptilian Hind Brain and the Fore Brain have a discussion. Or better yet, the same players have a discussion about babies.
RHB: Babies are cute!
FB: They take a lot of time...
RHB: They are adorable!
FB: ...and a lot of money...
RHB: They have big eyes.
FB: They need stuff, lots of stuff.
RHB: And they make neat noises.
FB: Not to mention what pregnancy does to the body...
RHB: and we could cuddle them!
FB: We'd have to be responsible and sensible.
RHB: And they're so soft to touch...
FB: We'd have to think more than two weeks ahead in our life.
RHB: and fuzzy tails.
FB: We're not the best source of- wait a second, tails?
RHB: Yes, and little floppy ears.
FB: Uh-huh. How big are babies again?
RHB: Some are very very small, like a peanut, and some are bigger than a cow!
FB: Which one are you thinking we'll be having?
RHB: Any of them. They're all neat.
FB: Some parts of the body are already sending dispatches voting against the cow-sized ones. Tell me more about babies. How do you move them around?
RHB: Some by the scruff of the neck and some they just waddle after you.
FB: mmmm-hmmmm. Where does the baby sleep?
RHB: We'll build it a nice warm nest. Or maybe a burrow.
FB: I'm not even surprised. I'm not even surprised that I'm not surprised.
RHB: and when we come home it would run to meet us at the door and chirp!
FB: Can you put in a quick call to one of the memory systems to find some pictures of babies?
RHB: Sure! Here are some I like!
FB: Only one of these is human. The others are, if I'm correct, an opossum, a rhino, a kitten, a fruit bat, a penguin, and a chinese crested goose. Don't you see a problem with this idea?
RHB: Nope.
What's sad is, this is just like living inside my skull already, so I don't know why I'm so amused.
