Unscheduled Library of Congress Visitor

It's Roe v. Wade weekend, so I'm on call. (I volunteered to do a shift, but working RvW is kind of the escort version of only going to church at Christmas; it brings in people who don't work often.) getting shipped across town half an hour earlier than I usually need to show up. Am now not best pleased with own keen-ness to be useful.

On the other hand, it's going to deal with my guilt about being at the "quiet" clinic, esp. as I'm going to drop by one of the more active ones on my way back. (I may bump into a few friends in orange vests. I'm guaranteed to bump into a boatload of non-friends.)

And all this is sill on the same metro line as the Library of Congress so I can still top off my day in the hopes of seeing if its newest member is still around. If I have the slightest energy left at all, I'll get 'em to show me Cook and Be Cool. Because that's the book I need to read when it's 20 degrees out there...

Hold that thought. It was a light nl last time. On the other hand, I just got called in, and they need me across town early tomorrow, so anything I don't get done tonight, I don't get done.

So I'm about to look and see what I'm up against link-wise and I'll get back to you about what help I'd need.
