So, I'm looking for a T-shirt to wear to the atheist rally. There's an official one, but I kind of want one that'll be useful for more than one day.

And it turns out scary things happen when you type "separation church state" "first amendment" and "liberal" into CafePress.

Still...

There are the succinct ones.

The one that explains the First Amendment in legal detail because there is actually, there is unbelievably, mind-bogglingly actually a T-shirt that cites the First Amendment in full and then whines "Where does it say 'Separation of church and state'?" Right off the bat, special little snowflake. Right there at the front. Just because it isn't the same words doesn't mean that the concept is at all unclear. Would you feel better if the Founders explained it?

Of course, I could just cut to the chase, although as a Rockwell fan This is more attractive to me. This, however, is probably the best phrasing for an atheist gathering.

Then there are the many, many snarky ones. (Case in point) If I liked to drink, I'd snap this right up. And this would be perfect if it said 'read.' (Okay, I doubt I'd have the nerve to wear it anywhere, but I still like it.) This would go with my Electoral College Athletic Department sweatshirt. This just makes me laugh every time I look at it. And then there's this simple statement of fact.

It's completely beside the point, but I. Love. This.

Mind you, if I'm simply going for "useful in all seasons for all reasons," this fits the bill perfectly.

I should dig around Cafe Press more often.

But if you haven't found anything just right, you might want to check out Northern Sun.

They don't appear to have any directly dealing with atheism, though.

I like the 1st amendment ones, but I don't know if I would want strange people looking at my chest long enough to read it. hehehe

My favorite is 'I support separation of church and state'.

There is that. Some of them are very wordy.

Just to muddy the waters a bit further, here are some of the ones my partner prints:

Belief is no substitute for Knowledge

Rapture Tour

No God. No Problem.

10 Reasons Why Beer is Better than Religion

These are all professionally screen-printed on 100% cotton 6-oz pre-shrunk T-shirts, and last very well. (If you have the orange-on-navy Tardis Express shirt, that's one of ours.)

I don't want a t-shirt which will encourage strangers to peer closely at my bosom (eyes the long-winded shirts above). Just sayin'.

Also, I find the Zazzle.com shirts to be a bit better quality than CafePress.

It's not Cafe Press but I adore my shirt that says Teach the Controversy and shows the sun rotating around the earth. Random elderly retired scientists have struck up conversations with me because of that shirt. They have shirts with the same slogan & other myths; I've been thinking about getting the loch ness monster, or the earth on the back of a turtle. It's early and I don't remember their URL but googling "teach the controversy shirt" will find them.

Oh, those are cute shirts! I love this Cthulhu "Teach the Controversy", the Faked Moon Landings" shirt is fun, and here's the "Geocentric Universe" shirt.

Speaking of geocentrism, I adore this screensaver which switches between the Copernican and Tychonian systems.

Geocentric Universe, that's the one I have! There are a lot of color/style options and I got a heather green shirt with white and purple ink. The Cthulhu one is really cute too

I need another t-shirt like I need a hole in the head, but the Geocentric Universe t-shirt really tempts me. (I wrote a Doctor Who story, in the same Big Finish anthology Nea's in, that took place in a geocentric universe because I'm mental like that.)

If anyone really wants to bend their brain, there's a hard SF novel set in the Ptolemaic universe with Aristotelian physics and biology. As I recall, it's about a race to the sun to get a piece of elemental fire for use as a weapon. It's a challenging read because, even having spent much of my freshman year in the ancient Greeks' minds, I had to keep reminding myself that most of what I know about the universe doesn't apply in this book. (Should have had it to read then.)

I'll see your links, and raise you this one (http://www.cafepress.com/+your_imaginary_friend,250352450), or anything on a similar theme.

And now, going to close the Cafe Press tab... no, really... argh, my day!....
