neadodsI wasn't there to answer when they called my cell phone about being on the wait list for the mock trial. So the suite of tickets I wanted - for myself, M, my parents et al, was gone.
However, when I called back, I was given the option of changing my single "OMG I can't believe you're paying that for dinner and a show" ticket down to a regular one. Which is mighty nice of the DC Shakes, as they lose money on the deal. I'm going to check in early regardless - if something SNAFUs I want plenty of time to straighten it out - but this is a huge weight off my shoulders regarding budget, dress code, etc. (I'm within 2 blocks of two of my favorite DC restaurants; I really, really would have preferred to be either at the District Chophouse or Legal Seafood.)
IANAL, but I'll be taking copious notes and posting what I have when I can write it up.
