Dandelion Wine and Watership Down are YA? When did that happen?

I'll have to check the pub date on my copy of Dandelion. Watership technically always was, as it started as a story he told his kids, and a promise he made his youngest daughter about the characters ended up affecting the plot.

I read WD as an adult - it never occurred to me it was a kid's book.

It was required reading for my fifth grade class. Not that we understood the undertones about societies, but it was our first REALLY thick novel.

I still have my end-of-book project. It was a lot of work, and proves I can't draw rabbits.

Dandelion Wine is my favorite Bradbury. A series of short stories about an 8-year-old boy's summer adventures.

"The Poisoner's Handbook" is a fantastic book - really interesting (and scary! Those poor watch-painters!) subject, and written in the most accessible way. :)

I adore that book. I passed my copy on, but will probably snap up another one - especially as it's now available in trade paperback. I'm troping to trades for some reason right now.
