My working hours usually get me home very early (cosmically speaking) but today I stayed late for a couple of important meetings. Which meant that I was pulling into my driveway *just* as someone parked, scooted up the stairs, and stuck her head in the Little Free Library. I waffled over letting her be or finding out what the public wants, and of course the latter held.

I scared the crap out of her when I spoke, but we bonded quickly over the whole book thing, not to mention The Book Thing (I told her to go ahead and be greedy, I got free stock, and she asked where, so I showed her the stamp in the book she was holding.)

She took The Devil Wore Prada and a Madeline Wickham (I forget the title; it was the one that wasn't A Desirable Residence) and promised to bring some of hers to add to the stack. I told her that if a book sits for about a month, I'll take it to the Thing and refill the LFL from scratch. (Why are y'all not taking the Julia Spencer-Fleming or Murphy's Law? Y'all are missing out on *great books*!!)

Nothing else was changed, and there were no new notes. I had to put out a new notebook because the old one got so wet in last night's rains. There are now sections of wooden shelf from my scrap pile acting as boosters to keep the books up out of leaks until I can caulk yet *again* damnit! (I'm seriously thinking of putting my efforts into engineering how to lift the books out of water than to keep the water out. The leaks aren't that bad, it's just that books are that sensitive to even a little water.)

I put out The Friday Night Knitting Club and another thriller audiobook from the reviewing days. Also, after another one of those snap storms we're having, I think I found one of the leaks. I ought to pull the bad caulk out, but it's an awkward corner and I may just glob more in, accomplishing with quantity what I'm not doing with quality.
