I'm not going to say anything catty about this; Elementay's killing its timeslot, ratings-wise; CBS would be idiots if they didn't renew it.

It's formulaic enough for CBS, combined with a schlocky likeability. Paired with Person of Interest. Done deal, I would have thought (but I'm so often wrong about television.)

I don't find myself going "Seriously? SERIOUSLY?" at the resolutions of CSI or NCIS a quarter as often. But I looked up the ratings, and while middling for CBS in general, it's about 3x more popular than its nearest competitor. That's more than enough to keep it on air for a long time.
