VB6 and VVO

So Mark Bittman of Cook All The Things fame has a new book out called VB6 about the health benefits of being vegan before 6 - basically, to eat two strictly vegan meals a day and then cut loose for the third one.
That's a little too strict for me - but I have tentatively started this week splitting my meals into vegan, vegetarian, and omnivorous. I don't know how fast any health benefits are going to kick in, considering that chocolate shakes are vegetarian and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches are vegan. But it's not a bad idea. I'll tell y'all if it works.
On a completely different topic, I'm writing this while watching a repeat of Colbert's epic interview with Paul McCartney. This show is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. "Did it make the marriage stronger to tour with Linda?" "No, I just liked her." "At what point did you find the courage or just the new feeling to say 'I'm not going to write for that other person, I'm going to write for myself'?" "Drugs."

It's not an ideal location - there is no sidewalk on this road, and though it's an established neighbourhood, it's a pretty busy street during the day for cars, I don't think it's much of a walking street.
