Major kitchen accomplishment

I hate it, hate it, hate it when magazines talk about how to handle a small kitchen and "solve" it by ripping out a wall. So. Not. Happening.
But then M had the inspiration to get the effect without structural damage. Refrigerator in the way of the countertop? Can't move it without ripping out baseboard heaters on the other side of the door?
Put in in the doorway!

Just LOOK at all that space now!
And best yet, the other side of the doorway is the library, which now has room for two more bookcases to cover the door from that side.
