Rick Perry has just announced that it would make the country safer for people to be able to take their guns into movie theaters.
In his zeal to suck up to the NRA, Rick Perry has apparently decided to cross his fingers and hope that the registered voters do not know what a crossfire is or why it would be Bad, and also is really, really, really hoping that nobody can remember back three weeks to the opening of the trial of Curtis Reeves.
Who is Curtis Reeves? The "good guy with a gun" the NRA tells us about - at least, Reeves was a "good guy" right up to the point where the ex-cop shot a man dead in a movie theater for the capital crime of texting the babysitter some instructions before the movie even starts.
I'm going to be incredibly, massively disappointed if nobody in the media starts asking Perry about Reeves VERY LOUDLY AND REPEATEDLY, considering that he's on trial for taking a legal gun legally into a movie theater and shooting an innocent man to death with it *right* when Ricky thinks taking legal guns legally into theaters will Save Us From TheTerrorists Random Lone White Guys Totally Acting On Their Own.

And where DOES he think we're going to find these "appropriately trained" people who "know how to use firearms"? I haven't seen many of *them* in the news. Someone said he knew a guy with a concealed-carry permit who "couldn't hit the side of a barn if he were IN the barn."
