Takin' care of business

Dad
Dad is having a day-long stress test today; it is the last thing that the cardio unit of the local hospital wants him to do as he completes his 3 months of cardio rehab. After that, it's life back to normal, albeit with diet and exercise restrictions.
He already has his driver's license back, and more importantly, his energy and his comfort. For the last month he has sounded normal when I talk to him, as if this all never happened. That's a wonderful thing. For all intents and purposes, the whole surgery/heart attack trauma is over.
I do note with amusement, though, that my mother is the one who fielded my phone call about my accident last night and apparently isn't planning on letting Dad know at all until after the test.
Car
I've filed an event report with my insurance company and a claim with the other guy's insurance company. I've also successfully driven my car to work and examined my garage to see if anything leaked last night (no). Now I'm waiting for Nationwide to get back to me. I'm also calling Mr. Tire when they open to find out if they do body work, or if they can at least stick a nose under the hood and tell me if there's anything that I haven't noticed yet.

shawan_7's old car, which she kept running for 17 years, I had planned on driving "Eddie" into the ground and then buying a hybrid. It was used to start with and has no future after me; you'd think I'd be mellow about dings and dents. But no, it's like "AUGH! This car has to last at least another two years!!"
Mind you, this month has been more of the modern remake of The Deacon's One Hoss Shay anyway.
