Another Fic Recommendation

Lacey McBain's writing again, always a good thing. In case anyone shied off from the slash last time (stops, thinks about my f-list, snorts amusedly realizing that *I'm* the only one on it who doesn't like slash) - anyway, this has the barest hint of sex and even less slash. What it does have is some really rock-solid characterization; it's a Justice League character sketch. Work safe and well worth the reading.
Superman. Batman. The Flash. On my couch. I might never wash that leather again.

Date: 2005-04-22 05:36 pm (UTC)I know, I am one. :> It's why I try to say more than just "yay, liked it."
Fandoms I read are scattered over time and space; I'll take a look, but with 3 *crates* of unread fanzines in my bedroom, I'm actually not looking for anything outside of JL/Batman stuff. As long as the plot and the characterization are there, I'll read just about anything; stops being to my taste and I'll just quietly move on. (Honest, I'm not going to mention slash every time I comment... I just wanted to let you know where I stood when I first appeared, and then it seemed only fair to say "not a problem" after you'd gotten a bunch of "But where's the CLex?" comments.)

Date: 2005-04-25 05:00 pm (UTC)I think people who slash tend to forget that there are far more people out there who don't. And seriously, I was totally a non-slasher up until about two years ago. It's all good. The important part is creating stories that work - which is why a lot of times there isn't a ton of slash in my stuff.
I was actually surprised by the amount of "where's the Clex" stuff because clearly the fic is set in a different universe than Smallville, but I guess that's what you get for being a writer who's been mainly associated with Clex. The support from the non-Clex readers was nice to hear. Thanks again.
