shayheyred: When you see this, post a poem you like on your LJ.
I keep meaning to calliagraph or cross-stitch this and put it by the door of my house. By the late, great Shel Silverstein:
If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer.
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire,
for we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

Girlie-girl help needed
Sep. 19th, 2005 02:21 pmContinuing my love affair with Burt and his bees, I buy the "Healthy Treatment Facial Care" sampler kit. It comes with a lot of things. With one drastic exception.
Instructions.
Since I am, in the words of Stupina, not a girlie girl, a little advice would be appreciated. What the heck does one do with "vanishing creme," "repair serum," and "toner" and when does one do it?
I've got cleanser which I'm using instead of soap on the face, and I think the "overnight creme" kinda speaks for itself. But the rest of this stuff...?

Sep. 19th, 2005 02:58 pmThis week's Reviewing the Evidence (link @ right, my LJ) has my review for Not a Girl Detective.
For the forensic-minded, there's also a short blurb in the WaPo's science page today about accuracy in dating the age of a victim at time of death. ( Full text under cut )
