The State of the Nea
Feb. 3rd, 2006 09:31 amIt's been a hard week. Something out of the usual has been going on every day - car tuneup (to the tune of $350) on Tuesday, lunch with
tchwrtr Wednesday, meeting yesterday, and all while I'm trying to work and trying even harder to breathe through the goopy glue in my chest and sinuses.
Yup, having a meeting where you're trying to be professional while chain-sucking cough drops and blowing your nose is a little bit difficult.
Finally Friday. Can't crawl onto the couch and die quite yet, but I can slow down more and sleep a little longer; before I go to the airport to pick up S or go to the STAT meeting to say goodbye to our President. (There's a dinner after, but I may skip it; much as I like her, I simply don't have the strength.)
Next week something to look forward to - New York City! My only plans are to take the train up to see Chicago (never got around to preordering, so I'm going to TKTS the matinee) and to hang out with
shayheyred. Who wants to do what, where, when? There's all of restaurant row to check out, and the fabric district, and ooooo, I need to look up knitting shops and bead shops...
