Not about *that.* Partially.

I know what day it is. But I'm... not. I'm not going to post a retrospective or memories or a memorial. I'm so burnt out. In the time since, the memories of what happened have been so plastered over with the hagiography and worse, the people capitalizing on it - from a country singer who was states away demanding to know "Have You Forgotten?"* (No, buddie, I WAS IN A CITY THAT GOT HIT! How much of the money you've made off that song gone to any charities, hmmm?) to the administration that seized the excuse to trash this country's military, world-wide reputation, and Constitution in the names of patriotism and safety.

So, I'm just not. Not watching the coverage. Not posting a memorial. I'm burnt out, of the outrage over what happened, and the outrage over what's been done in its name. We were attacked from the outside, but we were run off the rails from the inside, and I don't know what to do but endure at this point.

*(This is why I will not listen to the radio for a second today, not even in the hope of hearing the beautiful "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning." If I hear that damnable, self-satisfied best-Forgotten song, I'm going to have to rip the radio right out of the dashboard and beat it to pieces.)
