wendymr's rant about authors who don't care about their own stories.
A funny Torchwood/Sarah Jane Adventures crossover, Down the Lane. Safe for work & very much in character all the way around.
From inside the house, the boy's voice drifted out to Torchwood. "Mum, there's some guy in a long coat outside with a piece of blank paper in a billfold and he wants to see you."...
Rapid footsteps neared the door, and it was flung open by a very attractive older woman. The happy expression on her face vanished in an instant when she spotted Jack.
For his part, Jack gaped. "Sarah Jane?" he said, flummoxed.
The woman reached forward, slapped Jack across the cheek, and slammed the door in their faces.
Ianto cleared his throat in the silence. "Good with the lady of the house, indeed."
"Shut up," Jack snapped, rubbing at his cheek and his wounded ego.
