Down and Safe

Been running full-blast since well before dawn; when I woke up at 4 a.m. *gag* I finally decided that there was no point in staring at the ceiling when I had places to go. So it was off to my parents' house, a long but uneventful drive. However, coming in so early means I got to help out/run a dozen errands today, from dropping off my car for Monday's service appointment through getting my hair cut. (That last isn't quite what I envisioned or what I thought I was describing, but it is cute. Or at least I thought so until my mother pulled out photographic evidence that I'd had a remarkably similar cut at age 4.)

We ran by the farmer's market, which I like much better than the ones at home. There's a large Greek community, so instead of Mennonite-only, you have booths by Savadelis right next to the booth by Stoltzfus, and a correspondingly much higher variety of goods. One of my Christmas presents is three quarts of the homemade Italian wedding soup I like so much (there's a lot of Italians at the market too, for reasons I've never entirely grasped. I didn't think there was a little Italy anywhere near.) It's being frozen, so it'll last me a while.

Dad, who can't quite win for losing, has a cold. However he says that other than that, he feels fine and feels all the prayers and good thoughts sent his way.
