neadods: (yay!)
Mulder is home. He's dopey(ier than usual), seeping a bit (!)... and purring so loudly that you can hear him two feet away. He should pull through fine, although we've tried to sequester him upstairs so he is away from the rough and tumble of the other cats.

Mind you, Gytha's so tiny that she's already wedged herself though the child gate once to see him...

If I don't clear links, this is going to get insane so:

For Knitters Not on Ravelry
Elementary! A study of that oatmeal sweater of Watson's Charts included. She's doing a sock with it. A blog to keep your eye on - she's announced/threatened lace patterns based on the wallpaper. (Frankly, I find that wallpaper a little bit Charlotte Perkins Gilman. No wonder Sherlock shot it.)

Action, Angst, and Character Study:
Pretty intense commentfic based on the prompt "John dies. Sherlock starts carrying around a picture of him to talk to"

[livejournal.com profile] dameruth's found three vids to three versions of Holmes (Granada, RDJ movie, Sherlock) to the same song.

Needing is One Thing; Getting is Another (link goes to first part of 2). A continuation of The Great Game.

I haven't read this through yet and I don't normally rec fic in progress, but it's been recced by someone I almost always agree with, and what I've seen is fabulous - And Then The Darkness, which started as an update of Scandal in Bohemia and has gone in all sorts of directions since. Looking for action and actual crime solving? Start looking here on the master link list. Updates arriving regularly on Tuesdays. (And does anyone know how to get Calibre to properly display in-text art? It's getting crunched into illegibility.)

I let this slip the first time, but it's one of the ones I reread most often: Old Memories and Young Hopes, in which Sherlock takes drugs to remember another time & place.

Crack, Crack, and More Crack:
The completely crackalicious "The Baker Street Literary Club", in which Mrs. Hudson & Mrs. Turner are writing RPS about their lodgers. (Part of a challenge I would have joined if I was paying closer attention to the fandom, in which stories must have 221 words, the last one of which starts with B.)

[livejournal.com profile] redscharlach's "Study in Pink Gin" Sherlockian cocktails menu

Abhorring the Dull Routine of Existence (3 parts, link goes to first), in which Sherlock tries to live on Red Bull, John tries to peel him off the ceiling, and Mycroft entirely misinterprets why Lestrade handcuffed his little brother to a chair.

The kinkmeme prompt was "John can do amazing things with his tongue". There is a comment fic, but the real reason you need to read this thread is the immediate, hilarious roleplay spawned before, and in response to, the fic. Possibly the funniest thing I'm reccing here. Definite drinks warning and make sure you read it all comments. Seriously, ALL comments.

And for the thousandth time, the ridiculous black-on-black-with-black-trimming van is from the couple next door; that eerily clean Welsh bloke and the American. You can't have forgotten him; he didn't undress you with his eyes so much as flirt with you, take you out to dinner, let you invite him up for coffee afterwards, undress you, sleep with you and raise twelve children with you. With his eyes. The van - is - theirs.

NSFW Fic & Other Not Safe for Under 18 Stuff

Modern Warfare was the Sherlock/John/Mycroft sandwich fic I was talking about earlier which everyone already seems to have known about you pervs. Art here. (Still looking for a way to get art to show up properly in Calibre. *ahem*)

Birds, Bees, & Baker Street. We've had asexual Holmes, we've had struggling with his sexuality John, and now we've got deflower Holmes. (Presumably nobody would believe that John is still a virgin...)
