So, I updated iTunes to 10.5. No problem. Then I cautiously updated Tubso the iTouch (as last time I tried to update, it fried and I lost all my notes on where to eat in NYC.)
It updated all right... well, "all right after the computer stopped recognizing the touch again in mid-update and I had a panic attack and I still don't know what I did to fix it." In the end, I had a working Tubso.
UNTIL today, when I discovered that the new iTunes and what must be the old iBooks don't play nice together. I've lost all of the covers on the fanfic that I epubbed (which is how I tell the general style of the story inside - PWP, action, character specific, etc). More annoyingly, I've lost half the fic! I try to open it and get a "coding error" instead of text.
To make it that much worse, I've also lost the cover and text *from a book I bought on iTunes.*
A quick Google search says I'm not the only one with a problem, so I'm fairly confident that iTunes is either going to have a patch or update iBooks or both. But as I do most of my travel reading on Tubso, it's a bitch.
It also cements my determination to NEVER, EVER update the OS on Bissonomy the iPad. I don't care if it's out of date - it does everything I want it to and doesn't screw that up!
