So, I'm looking for a T-shirt to wear to the atheist rally. There's an official one, but I kind of want one that'll be useful for more than one day.
And it turns out scary things happen when you type "separation church state" "first amendment" and "liberal" into CafePress.
Still...
There are the succinct ones.
The one that explains the First Amendment in legal detail because there is actually, there is unbelievably, mind-bogglingly actually a T-shirt that cites the First Amendment in full and then whines "Where does it say 'Separation of church and state'?" Right off the bat, special little snowflake. Right there at the front. Just because it isn't the same words doesn't mean that the concept is at all unclear. Would you feel better if the Founders explained it?
Of course, I could just cut to the chase, although as a Rockwell fan This is more attractive to me. This, however, is probably the best phrasing for an atheist gathering.
Then there are the many, many snarky ones. (Case in point) If I liked to drink, I'd snap this right up. And this would be perfect if it said 'read.' (Okay, I doubt I'd have the nerve to wear it anywhere, but I still like it.) This would go with my Electoral College Athletic Department sweatshirt. This just makes me laugh every time I look at it. And then there's this simple statement of fact.
It's completely beside the point, but I. Love. This.
Mind you, if I'm simply going for "useful in all seasons for all reasons," this fits the bill perfectly.
