Good news for Cabin Pressure fans
Jan. 17th, 2013 07:13 pmI've had a wrenching, exhausting day, so it feels good to pass on some good news. Cabin Pressure Season 4, Episode 1 (Timbuktu) is now available for legal purchase on audiogo.co.uk - apparently they're going to go legal precisely 1 week after transmission.
American iTunes tends to lag behind Audiogo - it has the audio of Melody Malone and the Angel's Kiss, for example, but not (yet) The Great Detective Iforgotwhat In the Smoke. However, as iTunes has Cabin Pressure seasons 1-3, I'm assuming that it will get on board in a month or two.
If you don't want to wait, AudioGo happily sells to Americans. Just click the little British flag when you log in to see the stuff that is theoretically only for sale on the other side of the pond.

Libby Anne's still talking Austen
Jan. 17th, 2013 07:52 pmThe latest post is Jane Austen, Mr. Collins, and Rape Culture.
The money line:
"Mr. Collins not only won’t accept Elizabeth’s no but also genuinely thinks that Elizabeth would say no even when she really meant yes.
Can you say rape culture?"
I'm still reading the comments, but Esteleth's is a real winner, mostly because I get a giggle out of the way she condenses the scenes.
