About time I made myself a Bollywood icon, so here it is.

Anyone have Bollywood soundtrack suggestions? Since I don't understand Hindi, the lyrics aren't as important as a bouncy sound. I like Bombay Dreams (which means I should probably get Taal and Dil Se), and the wedding music from Bend It Like Beckham.

The soundtrack to "Kismat" is very good. The movie itself is crap, although I personally found it very entertaining and highly amusing precisely because it was so bad.

Oh, I have? Well, I hope they have a CD, because I was really disappointed that that music wasn't on the soundtrack.

Maybe we're thinking about different wedding music, because Darshan is definitely on the soundtrack. It's the first song played at the reception -- the one where they show the band singing and playing (and the dancers in gauzy turbans . . .). There are other good songs later (the conga line and when Jes comes back after having won the game), but you're right -- they're not on the soundtrack.
