Really Bizarre Question

Does anyone reading this have one of those huge hard-sided coolers on wheels, the 60 or 70 quart capacity ones? If you do, do you know if a standard inkjet printer and a laptop would fit inside one?
Yes, I'm serious. Rather long story.
Other than that, I'm bubbling with ideas on how to streamline packing for next year's Shore Leave - and in testing that system by prepacking this year with all the nonperishables.
This year I shoved everything into collapsable crates and cardboard boxes. Next year, I'm dividing things up into their own carry cases, with individual checksheets, so it will be easier to get things where they need to be and to see what needs restocking.
Signup Table:
That's going to have a roller case dedicated to it; I think I have a spare one lying around. (The advantages to being a luggage slut.) I'm thinking an expanding folder for the paperwork, which can also be used to file the sheets as they are filled out and logged into the database. Then some ziplock baggies for the random things like the paperclips, post-its, pens, etc. I'll still throw the tapes and CDs in a cardboard box, though, as odds are good I'll never see it again.
Green Room:
The makeup and hardware repair kits will be split up; I've already won an ebay auction for a fully-stocked Mary Kay makeup samples kit. Straws, napkins, plates & cups will be stuck in a totebag, I think. Pity I got rid of all my excess totebags a few months ago.
Masquerade:
Trophies will stay in a cardboard box that can be unpacked and tossed. Another tote will hold the little stuff for the judges, the pens and the notepads, and can also be used by the judge's clerk to toss the ballot cards into.
That leaves something to carry the masq. tape, the printer, and the laptop in, something that won't let them cook in the car if left there for a few hours.
Second question - local friends, do you have a totebag or two that you don't love anymore? I seem to need two of 'em and I tossed my excess ones a while ago.

Date: 2005-07-14 08:31 pm (UTC)Loni...a friend and fellow wench has this huge storage container with wheels she uses to transport her Nobles garb when staying in hotels and such. This thing would for sure hold a printer and a small TV! Plus shoes and any other stuff you may need.
I can ask her where she got it.
