1. batman animated:
   The animated version of Batman, the one that ran in the 90s, is just about the perfect version as far as I'm concerned. Fantastic art, harking back to the hand-drawn cartoons, and the right blend of angst, action, and levity. (Yes, brief flashes of an actual sense of humor!)
2. bollywood:
   As someone put it, "Spangle-covered crack rolling down a flower-laden hillside." Also a good place to go for madcap plots and romantic musical comedies, since Hollywood's version of romance these days is to throw needy psychotic women at clueless men. (See my rants tag.)
3. cats:
   I have two.
4. fairy tales:
   It's hard to verbalize my fascination with fairy tales, but I'm totally into 'em - the originals, the scrubbed up versions, the Disney sweet ones, the modern retellings (especially the modern retellings, the ones with a little teeth to 'em. 10th Kingdom, Fairy Godmother, even Harry Potter.)
5. ferrets:
   I've raised 5.
6. joan of arcadia:
   A fantastic show that didn't get enough attention or network time. You've just got to be impressed by a show about a girl's relationship with God that rivited Catholics, Protestants, atheists, and pagans.
7. justice league unlimited:
   Where I go to get my animated Batman fix these days.
8. mdrf:
   AKA "Maryland Renaissance Festival" One of the biggest in the country and one of the best as well.
9. mystery:
   I read/watch 'em for pleasure and I review mystery books for 3 websites. I also have become a devotee of the major regional mystery convention, "Malice Domestic."
10. quilting:
    I originally started quilting to deal with the scraps from making competition costumes. Now I quilt for the fun of it, and because I have hundreds of ideas that I want to make sometime! I make an annual pilgrimmage to a Quiltfest in the Williamsburg region.
