A bunch of folks on the f-list are starting to talk about NaNoWriMo - whether they plan on signing up, that they've signed up, what they've done in past Novembers.
I love the idea, I just don't want to write a novel. What I can't decide is if I want to sign up for NaNoWriMo and then use my word count to collect and type up recipes (which needs to be done) or NaNoQuiMo and making a full-sized quilt.
stops, blinks at screen Dang, I bet if there was a website and a little attention in LJ, newsgroups, and the occasional store, a NaNoQuiMo (it would have to be NaQuiSewMo, I think) would kick ass. Why do I have all these great ideas which require me to have web skills (which I don't really have) and lots of free time (which I *certainly* don't have)?
Dang, I REALLY like this idea. I just don't know how to implement it. Or what month. Wouldn't be November, of course. ETA: Turns out March 19 is National Quilting Day, so there's already a goal to aim for.
