I came home to find that
boogiebabe_smap's mother had died, there was a leak in the basement that had ruined some things I was storing, the garage door opener sensor has had a nervous breakdown, and that after three pre-trip calls to customer service, Visa had flagged every charge while travelling as "suspicious."
So right now I've got to make condolence calls, find the plumber's number, figure out who can deal with the garage, yell at Visa, pay the mortgage, and otherwise take care of business. There will be a detailed series of trip reports later today; right now I've got to worry about Smap and my house and my money, in that order.
This is your post to catch me up on what's been happening in LJ-land since last Wednesday afternoon, which is when I went offline. Any news in your life I should know? Any good fic? (I hear there's been a tsunami of Jack/Ianto - what's good?) Any updates on your own fic,
wendymr,
dark_aegis,
spiderine, etc?

Date: 2007-01-09 01:49 pm (UTC)Visa is usually pretty good about overseas billing, but occasionally they get twitchy. Especially post-December. Still, better that than them being totally asleep at the wheel! (I call as a courtesy, but I think they wouldn't blink if charges started coming from Katmandu, at this point...)

::Points up at what Laura said regarding Visa.::
If nothing else, point me in their direction and I'll get the Bitchslap of Doom out of the garage.

Date: 2007-01-09 08:48 pm (UTC)Things will always work out in the long run. Smap I'm worried about - everything else is just a paycheck and a repairman away from being dealt with.
