And I would never even be tempted to take this one off the shelf, for 2 reasons:

1) The screaming lack of a hyphen in the compound-adjective title.

2) The implication that a woman engaging in criminal activity is somehow titillating.

Actually, it's a true crime book. A poor couple started robbing stores to pay for their baby, and the newspapers of the time played up the flapper-gone-bad angle as social commentary.
