From the Freema website, a newsbite: A copy of the script of "Smith and Jones" autographed by David and Freema pulled in 2,200 pounds for charity. (Sorry, American keyboard, no "L" key)

This was only 300 quid less than the autographed first edition copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Well done, Doctor Who!

Ahhh.. to have that kind of money to throw around! I mean- heck- at the current rate of exchange, that would have been about-- $4,500 or so?

You can get the £ symbol by typing & pound ; without the spaces.

I once held a signed copy of Order of the Phoenix that was signed. It sold for £100. It was gently removed from my hands. The book was the worst of the HP books, but still, it was signed. That would have paid my overdraft off for the next year if I had it to sell now!

I have a rare first-American-edition of Philosopher's Stone (as we called it). Signed. If I could figure out where to sell it and the only other two books I've got worth serious money, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

The book was the worst of the HP books

Aw, I think that's my favorite at the moment. Mostly because it has such overtones of political commentary and Fighting Against the Man, which always rings my bells.

Well it was the only one of the books that I've not managed to read more than once. I tried, but gave up with it. Maybe I should see about borrowing my housemate's HP books and reread them all before the last book comes out. I'd have to borrow them because of the fact that all my HP books are still back at my mother's house.

I'm having Stephen Fry read them to me as I commute. But I'm about to hit the end of Cauldron and have promised myself Order as a treat as I drive to Media*West at the end of May, so I'm going to have to find something else to plug the next few weeks.

I just watched the "New New York" episode, and I have to ask. Was the guy in the derby supposed to imply a very young John Steed (or perhaps a many-greats-descendant thereof), or was it just my imagination?

According to the Confidential, he's based off of a character in Judge Dredd. I utterly adored the idea and the actor, and would think it wonderful if he became a recurring character somehow.
